Hello dear friends
I hope you are having a great week and that your shopping, decorating and baking are on target with your schedule. My personal goal each year is to have my home completely decorated by the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Once complete, we will trim the trees this weekend (I have 3!) and begin the wrapping process. As I mentioned in my blog yesterday, it is one of my favorite things to do! I put on holiday music or a good old-fashioned Hallmark™ movie. My daughter and I love to set our DVR and record their holiday movies and enjoy them together. We even encouraged my husband to watch one with us last weekend, and he actually enjoyed it!
My DIY today was inspired from wreaths I have seen in the stores and catalogs this year. This is a favorite that sold out quickly.
For today’s DIY I created (2) different mini wreaths to place in a small space singing for a piece of Christmas in your home.
A few years ago I purchased a set of dishes and between each dish was a small cardboard “wreath form.” I put them in my craft closet. I knew I would find a project for them.
For my first wreath I glued large white pompoms to the wreath form. To add a little dimension I added smaller white pompoms both on the outside and inside of the wreath.
I added (2) small green brush bottle holiday trees on the inside of the wreath.
Lastly I added a coordinating green, satin ribbon.
I think it’s darling and adds the perfect Christmas touch.
For my second wreath I found these fake fur trios at Michael’s. I purchased (3) and they were 50% off. Deal!
I cut off the pompoms and glued them to the wreath form as above. I added a red glittered cardinal in the center…
and a red polka dot ribbon to coordinate.
I think this will make a great gift….and I do not think the photo does it justice. It is much cuter in person.
If you would like to purchase one of these wreaths check them out here.
Enjoy your weekend and I will be back soon with more DIY’s to share.
